Stoneham + Mont Sainte-Anne Ski Trip

Mont Sainte-Anne is one of the premier ski resorts in Eastern North America - with abundant snowfall, amazing views and terrain for all levels of skiers and riders.

Students attending the Macdonald High School Ski and Snowboard Trip will be staying at Condos Vacances MSA, situated 2 km from the base of the mountain. There is a limited amount of space and applicants will be accepted on a first come, first served basis.

All students must wear helmets while skiing and riding.
 

The trip includes:

  • Deluxe coach bus transportation to/from MONTREAL, plus transfers between the condos and Mont Sainte-Anne
  • Accommodations for two nights
  • Lift tickets: 1 day skiing and riding at Stoneham and 2 days skiing and riding at Mont Sainte-Anne
  • Ski instruction for beginner/novice levels
  • Services of a Ski Evolution guide

GRAD SKI and SNOWBOARD TRIP ITINERARY



Friday, Feb. 14

07h30  Bus will arrive at Westwood HS 69 Côte Saint-Charles, Hudson, QC J0P 1J0

08h00  Departure from Westwood HS.  Use Hwy 30 toll road.

11h45  Arrival at Stoneham Ski Resort

12h00  Lunch in the cafeteria (student’s expense)    

12h15  Persons requiring equipment rentals will go to Sports Alpins.  Eat lunch in the cafeteria (bring from home)

12h30  Beginner ski and snowboard lessons (must register in advance with Ms. Sanders)

18h00  Departure from Stoneham.  Stop at IGA for groceries near Stoneham (355 Ch. Hibou).

19h00  Arrival at Chalets Montmorency Condos.  Check-in.

22h00  Students in their respective condos.

 

Saturday, Feb.15

07h30  Wake-up.  Breakfast in your condos.

08h45  Meet at the teacher’s condo.  Retrieve your lift passes.

09h00  Coach bus to Mont Sainte-Anne.

16h00  Return back to the condos by coach bus

18h00  Supper in your condos.

20h00  Evening activity organized by the teachers.

22h00  No noise outside of the condos after 10:00 p.m.


Sunday Feb. 16

08h00  Wake-up.  Breakfast in your condos.

09h00  Condos must be left clean.  Dishes clean, garbage outside, etc.  Teachers will inspect your condos prior to loading the coach bus.

09h30  Coach bus to Mont Sainte-Anne.  Ski and snowboard !!! 

14h30  Return rental equipment to Sports Alpins   

14h45  Meet the coach bus in the Sainte-Anne parking lot.

15h00  Return to Chalets Montmorency Condos to retrieve luggage. 

15h15  Departure for Montreal.

19h15  Approximate arrival time at Westwood HS




Lodging

CHALETS MONTMORENCY:  a unique experience with beautiful views of the Mont-Sainte-Anne and the surrounding countryside, as well as a relaxing indoor pool and whirlpool. Inside the condos, you will find a spacious dining/living area with cozy fireplace, modern kitchen including dishwasher, microwave and utensils. Each unit accommodates 10 persons (4-bedroom condo) or 12 persons (5-bedroom condo). Free Wi-Fi.

Situated 0.5 km from the base of the mountain. Shuttle service offered.

Transportation by deluxe coach bus

Amenities included: washroom, TV-DVD, comfortable seats and large luggage compartments. Relax and enjoy the ride to the slopes!

Departure:  9:00 AM (please arrive at school no later than 08h30 AM)

Return: 7:15 PM approximate arrival at Westwood High School



Cost and Payment


PACKAGE COST PER STUDENT: $xxx

PAYMENT INSTRUCTIONS:  Students can pay by cheque.  Please return completed authorization form, behavioural contract, and registration form with payment.  Please make your cheque(s) payable to Westwood Senior High School and return all cheques to Ms. Sanders. Please write the student's name on the front of your cheque(s) in the memo field.

PAYMENT PLAN

  • Option 1:  One cheque of $470 due Nov. 22, 2024
  • Option 2:  One cheque of $235 due Nov. 22, 2024 and a 2nd cheque for $235 due Dec. 18, 2024


Refund:  There is a minimum $250.00 penalty on all refunds. There is no refund for cancellations less than 45 days prior to departure.

Equipment Rentals: If you require equipment rentals, please add to your 2nd payment (Skis or snowboard rentals for three days are $105).  Helmets are compulsory for all students (they can be rented for $27 for 3 days).  Students are responsible for their rental equipment. Lost or stolen rental equipment will cost the student $600 (snowboard) or $550 (skis). Students are not to leave their equipment unattended at any time.

Damage Deposit: A $40.00 security deposit is required upon registration. This security deposit will be returned after the trip, provided no damage has been done by the group. Please use a separate cheque for the damage deposit and post-date it to Feb. 14, 2025.


All students will be required to sign and respect a Behavioral Contract.  Any unacceptable behavior will result in a telephone call home informing you that your son/daughter will be sent home at your expense. There will be no refunds issued under these circumstances. I understand that you are acting as agents for the bus, ski centre, lodging provider and/or restaurant service, if provided, and hereby waive any claims of any nature whatsoever.  While you will provide competent staff and all reasonable precautions will be taken to avoid injury or damage I fully accept that accidents may occur and, consequently, I hereby waive, renounce and release you and/or the staff from any and all liabilities of any nature whatsoever.  Moreover, I hereby waive, renounce and release you from any claim with respect to loss or damage of property.
