Laurentide (ages 7-13)

Our Laurentide program offers 6 Saturday or Sunday trips for novice to advanced skiers (ages 7-13) and for novice to intermediate snowboarders (ages 10-13).

Transportation is by deluxe coach bus, with responsible adults as bus supervisors. In the Laurentide program, there is also the option of driving your child (i.e. U-Drive).

The Laurentide program visits family-oriented ski centres in the Laurentians. Older children can choose between full-day lessons or half-day of lessons plus a half-day of free time. For children 9 & under, we recommend the Full Supervision option.

What is Full Supervision

Children in the Full Supervision option are always with Rod Roy staff throughout the day, from the time they get on the bus in the morning until they return home in the evening. They will be provided with a Rod Roy pinnie to wear over their jacket. Children in Full Supervision must bring their lunches from home - as they will eat them on the bus.

We recommend Full Supervision for children 9 & under. For children 10 & older, we generally suggest not choosing Full Supervision. For example, a child signed up for full-day (4-hour) lessons but not Full Supervision will be supervised by their ski/snow instructor while on the mountain - but at lunchtime they will be free to go to the cafeteria, use the washrooms, etc. by themselves.

Family "U-Drive" Program

The U-Drive program runs in conjunction with the Laurentide programs on Saturdays or Sundays.

This family program offers all the benefits of the Rod Roy programs in an affordable package.

Families drive to the scheduled ski centers where they receive their lift tickets and lessons. Meet the Rod Roy representative in the cafeteria each week to pick up your child's lift ticket and receive the daily information.

There is the option of a half day of lessons (morning or afternoon) or a full day of lessons (recommended).

Student lift tickets are valid for the full day.

Adults can purchase a package of 6 lift tickets at the group rate (approximately 20% off regular rates). The adult ticket package must be purchased prior to the season.

Laurentide U-Drive SKI Lessons (ages 7-13) offers 6 Saturday or Sunday trips for novice to intermediate skiers.
